What does it mean when your OnlyFans account is restricted?
A restricted OnlyFans account is not a defined state. OnlyFans publishes exactly one enforcement vocabulary in its terms of service, and it is suspend, delete, withhold and pause. The words restricted and limited do not appear as account statuses anywhere in the rules. So when your screen says one of them, it is describing one of four unrelated things: the Restrict tool being used on a fan, an automatic daily payment limit, an earnings restriction over tax or paperwork, or an ordinary suspension wearing a softer label.
This matters more than it sounds. Three of those four have a documented fix and a place to send the question. The fourth is enforcement, runs on no published clock, and gets worse the longer you treat it as something that will expire by itself.
What the OnlyFans terms actually say about restricted and limited accounts

The practical consequence is the same one that applies to the inactive account tag: an undocumented state cannot be cited in a support ticket, cannot be appealed as a breach of a published rule, and can change without anyone announcing it. When a page tells you confidently that an OnlyFans restriction lasts seven days, or fourteen, ask yourself where that number could have come from, because it is not in any document OnlyFans has published.
Four situations get called restricted, and they need four different responses
Search results for this query are unusually bad because most of them silently answer the first row while the person searching is in the fourth. Find your row before you do anything else.

The expensive mistake is the last row. A creator who reads "restricted" as a temporary cooling-off period waits it out, and by the time they accept it was a suspension they have burned part of the window in which an appeal is worth filing. How long will my OnlyFans account be restricted?
There is no published maximum, and the terms are unusually direct about it. OnlyFans reserves the right to act "at any time, without warning or Notice and for as long as is necessary to review the relevant facts". That clause is the honest answer to this question. It is open ended by design, and no third party can give you a number that is grounded in anything.
What that same clause does give you is the exact list of things that can happen while a review runs, which is worth knowing because most creators discover the second and third items by accident. During a review OnlyFans may: suspend or delete your account and your content; pause fan payments that would have been due during the suspension period; withhold any part of your creator earnings; and suspend, refund or cancel fan payments outright.
Read the second and third items again, because they are the ones that turn a content problem into a rent problem. Money that fans already paid you can sit frozen for the duration, and the duration is defined only as however long the review takes. Separately, and on a completely different track, OnlyFans may "suspend or delete your account with 30 days' Notice, at any time, for any reason", which requires no wrongdoing at all.
One deadline does run on a clock, and it runs against you: a decision must be disputed within six months of being notified, or the right to dispute it is waived. So the practical timeline is not "how long until this lifts", it is "how long do I have to act". Those are opposite questions and only the second one has an answer.

Work out which of the four situations you are in
Everything downstream depends on this and it takes two minutes. Check whether you can still post, whether your existing subscribers can still see you, and whether Statements shows a balance that is moving. A creator who can post but cannot withdraw has a payments problem. A creator who cannot post has an enforcement problem. Check your own profile from a logged-out browser
Open your profile URL in a private window where you are not signed in. This is the only honest test of what a paying visitor actually sees, and it is more reliable than any status message on your dashboard. If the subscribe button is missing or the profile does not load at all, you have a visibility problem regardless of what the account page claims.

Read the notification, not the forum thread
If OnlyFans took a documented action there is a message attached to it with a reason. That reason determines your appeal route and your deadline. A platform that hosts adult work under mainstream payment rails has a structural reason to keep its enforcement language vague. Vague language is flexible, and flexibility is what lets a company satisfy a card network on a Tuesday without having promised anything to creators on Monday. None of that is a conspiracy.
