The header box is 180 pixels tall on every device we tested. Only the width moves, from 600 on desktop down to 390 on a phone. Because the image is center-cropped to fill whichever box it lands in, a phone shows you 390 of the 600 horizontal pixels a desktop shows, which is 65%. You lose roughly 17.5% off each edge, and you never see which fans got the cropped version.

The practical consequence is a design rule rather than a size rule. Text placed near either end of a banner is invisible to phone traffic, and phone traffic is most of it. Templates are fine, and for most creators they are a better use of an afternoon than learning a design tool. The problem is that template libraries encode whichever dimension was correct when somebody built the preset, which is why so many of them are still 204 pixels tall. Three checks before you use one.
